Kaho Yoshida is a Japanese director and animator, with a special passion for stop motion and mixed media. Her fresh aesthetic and sharp sense of humour have yielded a widely-acclaimed body of commercial films for clients including YouTube, TED, Lego, Adult Swim, and McDonald’s. Her work is defined by tactile, elastic characters and a distinctive use of materials, combining stop motion and digital techniques that result in playful, sometimes subtly disquieting transformations. A Young Guns 2023 finalist, her short film ‘Tongue’ has screened at over 20 international festivals, garnering multiple awards along the way.
