Fabian Mosele is an Italian animator and synthographer who explores character animation and generative media within themes of identity. Fabian recently became known as one of the creators behind the Italian Brainrot meme. Having written about this rebellious, weird internet folklore and generated viral videos that have been turned into reality, Fabian plays with new kinds of characters that are infused in slop and cannot be traced to a copyright owner.
Using parody and satire, and remixing internet phenomenas, Fabian critiques the pitfalls of generative models, experimenting with the boundaries of generative tools and blending animation in films such as reflection of a reflection of a reflection (2023) and Democratizing Synthiola (2024).
