Frode Bolhuis is a Dutch sculptor known for his miniature figures crafted from polymer clay and mixed materials. In his ongoing project The Daily Sculptures, he intuitively creates a new character nearly every day – playful, colourful personalities that merge ancient stories with surreal imagination.

 Working at a small scale allows for immediacy and instinct, creating without sketches – in contrast to his earlier large-scale public commissions. His works form intimate, self-contained worlds where texture, gesture, and colour evoke expressive, almost mythic narratives.
