Roland Meyer

Roland Meyer is DIZH Bridge Professor for Digital Cultures and Arts at the University of Zurich and the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). His research as a media and visual culture scholar focuses on networked image cultures, platform aesthetics and synthetic realities. Roland has written about facial recognition, practices of image forensics, augmented space navigation, and the impact of generative Al on synthetic image worlds – his essay ‘The New Value of the Archive: AI Image Generation and the Visual Economy of “Style”‘, published in the academic journal IMAGE, is available online (and for free).
