MURUGIAH

Murugiah is a multi-disciplinary artist, illustrator and designer of Sri Lankan descent based in London. Working with colourful and surreal visual aesthetics, he playfully explores the macabre, bittersweet and joyful experience of his daily life and identity. Infused with candy coated dreams and peppered with South Asian motifs, his work – encompassing film, architecture, art and design – resonates with those also seeking kindness, authenticity and compassion. Murugiah has exhibited at and collaborated with Young V&A London, Gallery Nucleus Los Angeles, Southbank Centre London, Glastonbury Festival and many others.
