Niels Kalk is a Dutch illustrator and collage artist based in Berlin. After graduating from the Minerva Art Academy he moved to Rotterdam where he worked on his digital skills and found his first jobs in children’s media, animation and commercial illustration. After living in Rotterdam for 10 years Niels moved to Berlin where he switched back to a more traditional way of working, creating his own art by drawing on found paper and making hand-cut collages from vintage photo books. Meanwhile Niels has found a growing audience by showing his creations in exhibitions, at events and by selling his artwork in various shops and markets throughout Berlin. After his most recent collage show ‘Shut up I’m dreaming’, he continues to explore the technique of collage.
