Encyclopedia Pictura

Encyclopedia Pictura is a film and animation studio in Glassell Park, Los Angeles run by directors Isaiah Saxon, Daren Rabinovitch, and Sean Hellfritsch. Their work explores our mysterious relationships with nature and technology. Their projects for Björk, Kanye West, Panda Bear, Dirty Projectors, Metronomy, and Grizzly Bear have employed a rainbow of approaches—puppets, stop-motion, live-action, cg animation, and interactivity. In 2012 they co-founded DIY.org, an online school that lets kids seek out their own skills education. They are passionate about gardening, villages, friendship, science visualization, adventure, and country living.
