Nadine Redlich

Whimsical watercolours and over-the-edge, multicoloured magic are the trademark of Düsseldorf-based illustrator Nadine Redlich, whose weird, blobby characters seem to have fallen out of the pages of a German folk tale and straight into a tub of kaleidoscopic paint, (to quote It’s Nice That). Biographical information on Nadine is sparse, with one source mysteriously claiming that she was born in 1879 and that it took 100 years for her to complete her diploma.

She is also the inventor of “ambient comics”, as she clearly demonstrates during her 15 minute hypnosis session.
