Maria do Rosário Frade

Maria do Rosário Frade is a Portuguese illustrator based in Paris. Her characters float, tumble and ignore gravity in colourful, slightly surreal worlds built from geometric shapes, bold colour and a touch of French humour. Pop culture, rock and Asian references slip in, along with small details that reveal themselves the longer you look.
Her clients include Apple, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, ESPN, The Economist, Financial Times and Wired, as well as SNCF and French titles such as Les Échos, L’Équipe and Society. She has also published four books with Éditions de La Martinière.
