Allyson Mellberg Taylor

Allyson’s drawings are intimate, dreamlike portraits of herself, reminiscent of things seen in a personal journal or diary. Together with her husband Jeremy, she lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she makes her own ink, boiling walnuts to produce a dark brown colour, or extracting pigment from pokeberries for magenta.
