Ina Dyreborg
Ina Dyreborg is a Danish textile artist known for her vibrant and playful artistic world. She creates her work with a Danella needle – a manual tufting tool – to produce tufted pieces that sometimes incorporate other materials to enrich their expressiveness. Ina primarily designs faces/masks inspired by animals and humans, drawing on the idea that masks can help us express our true selves or aspirations. Through her art and use of colour, she embraces a complex interplay of beauty and flaws, masculine and feminine, and ‘the beast within’. Ina often brings her masks to life by wearing them herself, infusing her unique universe with vivid expression.
