Natalie Labarre

Natalie Labarre is a Franco-American director and Creative Director at Hornet. Having grown up on a diet of Belgian comics and the films of Miyazaki and Sylvain Chomet, her hand-drawn animations bring analog textures and painterly qualities into digital design. She combines this elegant animation style and sophisticated storytelling ability to create worlds that are modern yet layered with meaning. Natalie’s directorial debut, Me Too, earned her Best Animation honours at the 2019 AICP awards. Her commercial short Travel the Vote was awarded a Wood Pencil at the D&AD Awards in 2021, and Natalie’s children’s book, Incredible Jobs You’ve (Probably) Never Heard Of was long-listed for the 2020 Klaus Flugge Prize.
