Dédouze is a French self-taught illustrator and animator. His art encompasses many mediums, from acrylic painting to 3D modeling and animation. He uses modern tools, notably Blender and its ‘Grease Pencil’ feature mixing 2D and 3D animation, and colourful and vivid palettes to achieve his retro futuristic art style inspired by Japanese anime from the 80s and old French science-fiction comics. Besides making paintings and short animations, he likes telling stories to make fun of sad or annoying situations he witnesses or experiences. He has worked on animated titles for French TV series, and on short animations for Adult Swim, Google, Adobe, Crocs and other brands.
