Vassilis Zidianakis
ATOPOS

Vassilis Zidianakis is a fashion curator, the co-founder and artistic director of ATOPOS Contemporary Visual Culture in Athens. ATOPOS cvc became internationally acclaimed through the exhibition RRRIPP!!! Paper Fashion, which was presented at Benaki Museum Athens, the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean Luxembourg and the ModeMuseum Antwerp, amongst others. Vassilis studied History and Civilisations at the EHESS (École des hautes études en sciences sociales) Paris. His main research focus has been exploring contemporary phenomena and their impact on the human body and avant-garde fashion. He is the editor of the book Not A Toy (2011) and curator of the exhibition ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion, which was presented at Benaki Museum Athens, La Gaîté lyrique Paris and Centraal Museum Utrecht. ATOPOS cvc has launched numerous projects to support emerging talent, such as the fashion designer, Craig Green and the late photographer, Ren Hang.
